 | Purpleheart is a naturally purple exotic wood. The purple color is said to fade to dark brown over time, accelerated by UV exposure. There hasn't been any noticeable fading in the color of the boards that I've bought and kept out of direct sunlight.
I've ordered all of my purpleheart from Rockler and have been happy with it. It's also available from a few different merchants on Amazon.
